Audience Surveyor, SummerStage, Citywide
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking individuals to assist in administering surveys during free SummerStage performances in the five boroughs.
COMPENSATION: Surveyors will be paid $16/hour, plus $2 for each survey collected beyond 15 surveys. The daily quota for a 2 hour event is 25 surveys. Expected income per event is $50 but can be higher if surveyors surpass the quota.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete a minimum of 25 surveys though audience intercept (approach audience members and ask them to complete). There is no maximum amount. Surveyors will be paid the bonus for every survey completed beyond 15.
- Distribute any perks that may be offered as incentives for participating in surveys
- Ensure that all surveys are properly labeled with date, park, artist details, and surveyor information
- Return all completed surveys to Front of House Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outgoing, comfortable initiating conversations with the public
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with park / neighborhood strongly preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

We produce SummerStage, the iconic free, outdoor performing arts festival in NYC, presenting world-class artists from across the globe and our own neighborhoods on our mainstage in Central Park and in local parks in all five boroughs, and our Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre and roving PuppetMobile present marionette puppet theater throughout New York City.
We connect youngsters to nature in the urban environment through progressive, experiential teaching. Using parks as classrooms, we provide learning experiences and hands-on activities in urban forests, coastal areas, and gardens.
Free golf, tennis, track & field, soccer, and fitness programs bring high-quality instruction and equipment into areas where few organized athletic opportunities exist. We offer leveled training, year-round scholarship coaching, and special pro events.
